Debt of Love

“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.” Rom 13:8

“Debt of Love” is a Non Profit Organization based out of Virginia, and dedicated to serving the most vulnerable people in the world. Practically loving those neighbors and fellow brothers and sisters, in great need wherever they are. Currently we are working with the people groups of East Africa, specifically in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, and Rwanda.

The idea for “Debt of Love” came in early 2009. Myal and I (Seth) were working in the North Kivu region of Congo, in dry season. We were doing a food distribution for returning refugees just outside Goma. Seeing such great need up close was a catalyst to find ways in which we could effectively do our part to love and serve the most vulnerable people in tangible and meaningful ways. We had both been working in the region for over two years, and we knew we wanted to begin our efforts to serve the population in East Africa, since that’s where we are deeply vested.
